A Legacy of Rural Empowerment
The National Education Society (NES), based in Hosaritti, Haveri district, is a premier educational trust committed to rural development. Guided by the principles of social equity and educational access, the society has established a robust ecosystem of learning.
The foundational vision of the society is deeply connected to the legacy of the freedom fighter Gudleppa Hallikeri, who donated his ancestral property and wealth to establish educational opportunities in the region. Today, the society administers a full academic pipeline, from primary schooling to pre-university and higher degree colleges.

Our Educational Ecosystem
NES runs an integrated cluster of institutions in Hosaritti, offering students a seamless path from primary education to undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.

National Education Society Primary School, Hosaritti
Established in 1990. Provides foundational primary education (grades 1–7) in Kannada medium, nurturing young minds in rural Hosaritti.

G.V. Hallikeri High School, Hosaritti
Established in 1960. Delivering secondary education (grades 8–10) with a focus on leadership. Features an active NCC wing (28 Karnataka Battalion) and high academic success.

G.V. Hallikeri Composite Pre-University College, Hosaritti
Established in 1982. Specialized pre-university course node in Commerce and Arts, bridging basic school and professional careers in Haveri.

Gudleppa Veerappa Hallikeri Arts and Commerce First Grade College, Hosaritti
Established in 2021. Offers UG & PG courses with modern infrastructure including digital library and computer labs.

National Cadet Corps (NCC)
Established in 2019, the 220/28 KAR BN NCC Troop of GVH High School, Hosaritti, functions under the esteemed 28 Karnataka Battalion NCC, Hubballi, in the Junior Division (Army Wing)

National Service Scheme (NSS)
The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit functions within the National Education Society Campus, dedicated to promoting community service, leadership, social responsibility, and the holistic development of its volunteers in the true spirit of the National Service Scheme.

Bharat Seva Dal
Promotes patriotic values, civic duties, physical education, and community development services among young students.

Bharat Scouts & Guides
Imparts value-based training and character building through outdoor adventure camps, social assistance, and volunteer work.

Fit India
Promotes physical fitness, sports, and overall wellness. Engages students in regular physical activities, yoga, and healthy lifestyle practices.

Youth Red Cross (YRC)
Fosters health awareness, civic responsibility, and voluntary service. Empowers students to respond to emergencies and participate in humanitarian activities.
